In Germany, about 1,800 children per year suffer from acute leukemia or malignant tumors. The affected families also suffer during such an illness, often over a long period of time. In this situation, the Elterninitiative krebskranker Kinder e.V. (parents' initiative of children suffering from cancer) helps. The association was founded in 1982 by affected parents, doctors and pediatric nurses. It accompanies children with cancer and their families on their difficult path for 36 years now and helps them to cope their traumatic experiences. Thanks to volunteer work and numerous donations, the association was already able to set up great things.

It was very important to Ergosign to support the association in its valuable work and to make life a little bit easier for the many young patients and their families. Therefore, we are very pleased that our donation of 1,000 Euro this year goes to the Elterninitiative krebskranker Kinder e.V.
As in the previous year, the donation was generated from the proceeds of our Christmas raffle and doubled by the management.

Both the projects and the tasks of the parents’ initiative like the child-appropriate design of the oncological center of the Homburg Children's Hospital, the optimization of medical equipment, and the financing of research projects, continue to increase. In addition, a variety of projects enable children to take a time out from the stressful everyday hospital life. Besides, the parents' initiative offers direct help to relieve the families who have to deal with extreme financial burdens in this difficult time. Therefore, any financial support helps to continue the care for these children and their relatives so intensely.
