Enablement

Enablement projects aim, over and above the short term accomplishment of individual projects, to establish sustainable knowledge and best practices in the project team.

To achieve this each project phase is supported by systematic training and workshops. Their object is to discuss functional solutions for running projects as well as to convey theoretical basics.

The subsequent support and maintenance of the new processes and tools is then provided by the trained internal project team. This reduces the need for external resources for functional adjustments or even future developments. After the successful implementation of an enablement project, ERGOSIGN’s role lies in the occasional coaching of your trained staff and in the provision of new conceptual and visual developments.

UX Governance

A high standard of quality in UX requires policies and corresponding roles with sufficient authority to enforce them. This covers not only checking for consistency, handling of deviation etc., but also the use and monitoring of the following methods and tools:

Guidelines

Guidelines

ERGOSIGN creates company-specific guidelines that provide instructions relevant to the situation, example deliverables, and material for the various steps of the user-centered design. Naturally this includes generally acknowledged principles such as the ISO 9241.

A second set of guidelines is for the internal UX competence center. Their goal is to enable the staff to efficiently handle internal support requests and to devise appropriate actions.

Quality management also plays a critical role in UX design. We develop the following instruments and introduce them with the appropriate sign-off procedures to your company:

  • Checklists to enable untrained staff to check compliance.
  • Reviews to be conducted by experienced UX specialists following fixed rules covering the prioritization of issues and the suggestions for solutions.
  • Sanity checks as a very time-efficient type of quality control, conducted by a senior UX manager.
