The objective of the project was the development of a concept and the prototypical implementation of a touch-based user interface for the control of a heavy-duty sawing machine and combined repository for KASTO. In close collaboration with Digitec, a specialist for machine-oriented visualization and control software (HMI/SCADA), ERGOSIGN developed a user interface concept, which is optimized for the special usage context.
The VisiWinNET technology used by Digitec allows to embed 2D and 3D WPF graphics as well as the holistic binding of objects to the work process. As result of the project, a WPF based prototype was delivered, which implements a highly innovative 3D interaction model. In addition, ERGOSIGN developed a Look & Feel tuned to the requirements of heayv-duty industrial usage.
