History
A clear profile, steady and quality oriented growth as well as long-term customer relations form our guiding principles. As one of the pioneers of UCD in the German-speaking area ERGOSIGN is still a young, yet established company with stimulating perspectives for clients and employees.
- ERGOSIGN was founded in 2000
as a spin-off from the University of Saarland by Dr. Marcus Plach and Prof. Dr.
Dieter Wallach.
- In 2001 the team consisting
of four members moved into the Science Park Saar.
- 2002-2004: Steady growth and
positioning as a specialist for the design of expert-applications
- 2004-2007: Expansion to further industries such as medical, aeronautics,
engineering and consumer
- 2007: Formation of a subsidiary in Hamburg
- 2008: Formation of a subsidiary in Munich
- 2009: Setting up of international partnerships with usability providers
in India (PeepalDesign), Brazil (Try) and China (Hyperlink)
- 2009: Move to the newly built office in the Quartier Eurobahnhof
Saarbrücken.
- 2010: Accelerated growth. Close cooperation with INOSOFT GmbH in the area of design for industry applications (SCADA) and with itemis AG in the area of mobile devices and model-based development.
- 2011: ANTETYPE, the ground-breaking new design and prototyping application for UI designers developed by ERGOSIGN Technologies GmbH enters the market.
- 2011: Both subsidiaries in Hamburg and Munich move to larger offices.
ERGOSIGN is one of the leading providers of User Interface Design services in Europe with currently 50 employees.
